This month, we’re featuring Sohana Raymond.

Hi! My name is Sohana, and I am a patient liaison on the business development team. I have so many hobbies, so it was hard to pick one! This year, I've really fallen in love with jump roping. It brings out my inner child and turns my workouts into jam sessions. It's the perfect combo of the two things I love the most — music and dancing. The one thing I look forward to when I go to the gym is the jump rope part of my workout, that's when I truly unwind and get lost in my footwork and the music. So if you haven't tried it yet, I definitely encourage you to turn on your favorite song, grab a rope, and start jumping!

Five Questions With…

Get to know the faces of Spear a little better! Each month, we ask one team member five fun, rapid-fire questions, designed to connect us across clinics. Plus, one question is always a poll, so you can weigh in too!

This month we chatted with Lara Tecimler, our new Care Coordinator at our new Nomad location!

1. Favorite childhood TV show or movie?
I grew up watching Nickelodeon and Disney, but SpongeBob SquarePants was definitely my favorite. It’s one of those shows that never gets old!

2. What’s the one place you’ve always wanted to visit?
I’ve always wanted to visit Greece for its beautiful beaches, stunning architecture, and vibrant energy of the people!

3. You win the lottery – what’s the first thing you do?
I’d donate to the Armenian organizations I’m involved with, which are close to my heart. The community has given me so much, and giving back would definitely be one of the first things on my list!

4. What’s one thing that always makes you smile at work?
The patients and the relationships I’ve built with them! It’s really special to have familiar faces come in and have meaningful conversations.

5. Favorite part of working at Spear?
Definitely the friendships I’ve made over the past two years and the personal growth I’ve experienced along the way! Working at Spear has pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, take on new challenges, and develop skills I didn’t think I had.

Miles Toward A Movement is Coming Up!

Get ready to move for a great cause! Miles Toward A Movement is back and happening September 26-29! This annual Spear tradition supports the APTA Minority Scholarship Fund and champions diversity in the PT field. You can participate by walking, running, dancing, biking — any form of movement counts!

You should be receiving info and materials from your Clinical Director if you haven’t already.

Follow Spear on Instagram as we kick off our 6-week training plan with Kyle Davis to help you get prepped, stay motivated, and get moving.

And don’t forget to talk to your patients about how they can join too! Let’s keep the momentum going.

“Tiana was doing routine check-ins to confirm upcoming referrals. When she learned a ride hadn't been arranged for a new patient, Tiana took it upon herself to call Access-A-Ride and reserve transportation for the patient's evaluation and her first follow-up. Thanks to Tiana's initiative, the patient attended her physical therapy appointments and has been incredibly grateful ever since. This was well beyond Tiana's responsibilities, and she went the extra mile without hesitation. She always puts patients first, both over the phone and in person, and consistently delivers five-star service. Our patients adore her, and she truly deserves this award!”

Summer is in full swing! As we spend more time outdoors, it’s important to take steps to protect your skin and prioritize your health:

✅ Sun Safety Tips:

Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher—every day, even on cloudy days.
Reapply every two hours, or after swimming/sweating.
Wear protective clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses.
Seek shade during peak sun hours (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
